César Tárrega, the third central defender with the most aerial duels won in LALIGA EA SPORTS 24-25
The Valencia CF footballer has won 88 aerial duels
Valencia CF defender César Tárrega stands out in the statistics provided by the football data website Whoscored. The player from Aldaia is the third central defender with the most aerial duels won (88) so far in the current LALIGA EA SPORTS 24-25 season.
Tárrega has been one of the most outstanding players in the team managed by Carlos Corberán. His excellent performance on the pitch is also reflected statistically. In addition to the previously mentioned figure, the Valencia CF defender is also the fourth central defender with the most aerial duels contested, with a total of 151.
In the top 10 ranking of central defenders with the most aerial duels won are: Antonio Raíllo (1st place with 121), Omar Alderete (2nd with 96), César Tárrega himself (3rd with 88), Florian Lejeune (4th with 85), Diego Llorente (5th with 77), Scott McKenna (6th with 76), Leandro Cabrera (7th with 69), Marash Kumbulla (8th with 67), Carl Starfelt (9th with 63) and Igor Zubeldia (10th with 62).
A key performer for his team
The player from Aldaia was also a nominee for LALIGA’s best U-23 player of the month in April, and in November he ranked in the top 5 — across Europe’s top five leagues — of central defenders with the highest success rate in preventing opponents in possession from dribbling past them.

On the international stage, Tárrega received his first call-up in March to the Spain U-21 national team, making his debut in preparation matches for next summer’s U21 EURO.
